Objective of the Game

Setup

Melds are the heart of Rummie Noble. A Set Meld consists of three or four cards of the same rank but different suits. For example, a set could be three 7s or four 10s. A Run Meld consists of three or more cards in sequence and of the same suit. For example, a run could be the 4, 5, 6, and 7 of hearts. Each meld scores points based on the values of the cards in it. The game encourages strategic thinking as you try to maximize your melds and score as many points as possible.

Going Out

The moment you’ve been waiting for—going out! To go out, you must lay down all the melds in your hand and then discard your last card. The score for your hand is calculated based on the points in your melds and any unmatched cards in your hand. Unmatched cards can cost you points, so it’s important to manage your hand carefully. The round is over once someone goes out, and then it’s time to tally up the scores.

Winning the Game

The first player to reach the target score wins the game. If you’re the first to reach 500 points, or whatever the predetermined score may be, congratulations, you’re the winner! If two or more players go out in the same round, the player with the highest score wins.
